In our everyday lives we often forget the value of exercise to both our physical and mental health. The practice of karate tones the body, develops coordination and flexibility, quickens reflexes, and builds stamina.
Also, the practice of karate develops composure, a clearer thought process, deeper insight into one's mental capabilities, and more self-confidence. In this, karate is not an end, but a means to an end.
All this while developing valuable and necessary skills of self-protection in an enjoyable atmosphere.
Karate is an activity in which age is not a hindrance. Rather it encourages proficiency in the keen coordination of mind and body. Karate is for all ages and types and whatever your personal level of fitness may be there is some benefit to be found in the practice of this ancient discipline. ?Indeed in a karate club it is common to see families practicing together and at Kerry Pike Karate Club we actively encourage family membership with special reduced rates.
If you would like to try a new and fascinating activity why not drop into your local Karate Club.
